MIR HÄNDS NÖTIG, 3. GROUP EXHIBITION AT STARKART, ZURICH, 2013

3. Gruppenaustellung im Starkart, Zürich, 2013 Arbeiten mit Spiegel Ausgangslage waren alte Meister der Malerei aus Caravaggios Zeit. Die Analyse ihrer Lichtgestaltung, das Spiel mit Licht und Form, Farbe und Materialien führte zu einem Aufbauspiel, zu einer Neuinter-pretation. Analoge Effekte, hervorgebracht durch alte, craquelierte Spiegel, beeinflussen die Wiedergabe. Das Model sieht sich ausgesetzt im Spiegel, ermutigt durch den Fotografen sich mit seinem Spiegelbild auseinanderzusetzen. So verschwindet der Fotograf im Hintergrund und schafft es, die direkte Konfrontation zwischen Kamera und Model zu vermeiden.

3. group exhibition at starkart, Zurich, 2013 Working with mirrors At the beginning, there were paintings by old masters from Caravaggio’s time. The analysis of their light structure, the play with light and form, colour and materials led to a building game, to a new inter-pretation. Analogous effects, produced by old craqueled mirrors, influence the reproduction. The models see themselves exposed in the mirror, encouraged by the photographer to engage with their mirror images. This way, the photographer disappears in the background and manages to avoid any direct confrontation between camera and model.
